CPS Expert Staff
Phil Baldwin – Co-owner – Phil began working at CPS Heating & Cooling in 1993 as an installation helper, after graduating from Vocational Technical High School in 1992. Over the next 12 years with CPS Heating & Cooling, Phil gained valuable industry experience and product knowledge while working his way up from installation Helper to service technician and eventually to service manager. This knowledge and experience has served him well since becoming an owner in 2006.
Charlene Allain – Co-owner – Prior to joining CPS Heating & Cooling Charlene had a proven track record in management, accounting and human resources, developed while working in the hotel industry. This included extensive training in Customer Relations, Total Quality Management and Management.
Charlene started with CPS in 1998 as a dispatcher and general office clerk. In 2000 she took over as the office manager. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Becker College in 2005. In 2006 when the opportunity arose for her and Phil to become owners of the company they seized the opportunity.
Both Phil and Charlene have succeeded in improving and growing the business. They now offer a wider array of services to both residential and commercial clients. They have focused on developing a highly trained, and friendly staff that is committed to providing the best products and services to their customers.
Peter Greenwood – Sales Manager – Peter joined CPS in 2004 as a Residential Sales Consultant. Peter was already an experienced HVAC industry professional having worked for a company. Peter is an expert in accurately sizing heating and cooling systems for both residential applications. He is a Certified Indoor Air Quality Expert, and an Advanced Products Specialist through Mitsubishi HVAC. Peter became the Residential Sales Manager for CPS Heating & Cooling in 2005.
Thomas Smith – Production Manager – Thomas Smith started with CPS in 2001 as part of a co-op program in the HVAC department at Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School. Since then he has worked in the Installatioin Department and Service Department before assuming his current role as the Production Manager. Thomas is also a US Marine having served 8 years of active and reserve time.
Installation Department - At CPS we pride ourselves on our professional, courteous and friendly staff. Our installers are NATE Certified Technicians and the our duct cleaning professionals are NADCA Certified. All members of the installation department are capable of residential and commercial:
- Ductwork installation
- Exhaust fan installation
- Boiler installation
- Radiant floors/floor warming
- Indoor air quality products
- Duct cleaning
- Drier vent cleaning
We provide 24 hour turn around on emergency replacements and will provide our customers with temporary heat within a 24 hour period.
Service Department – Our service department is staffed with Factory Trained – NATE Certified professionals. Quality workmanship and outstanding customer service are the hallmarks of our service technicians. We offer an extensive range of services to our clients including:

- A large inventory of parts and filters
- Fully stocked trucks
